What is 2pac?

2pac is a paint system involving a mixture of two parts – acrylic paint melamine (Colour), and a hardener (Resin). When combined, these two resins result in a chemical reaction producing a hardened solution.

2pac is the most durable finish you can receive for doors for your kitchen, bathroom, laundry, etc. There is an unlimited range of colours, with 4 finishes available; Matt, Satin, Semi-Gloss & Gloss.

About Gloss Levels

It’s not just about the colour, the finish is the gloss level. Learn more about the pros and cons of the four main gloss levels.

10% is known as a matte finish:

It has a chalky feel and absorbs most of the light, giving it a low-sheen metallic finish. Depending on the colour selected, a matte finish can cause the colour to lose some of its body and depth. Matte is ideal for those who want a 2pac finish without the shine.

30% is commonly known as a satin finish:

Its texture is described as a satin finish, hence its name. It’s ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, and internal doors. It can hide fingerprints, so it’s ideal for young families and high-traffic areas. A 30% sheen coat also provides more shine, while the selected colour offers a more subtle appearance.

60% is known as a semi-gloss:

It gives a beautiful finish and provides great depth and body while providing more strength in the selected colour. It’s ideal if you want a little more shine to your projects. The disadvantage is if you have a light scratch or damage, it can’t be buffed out like a 100% gloss and would have to be resprayed like satin and matte.

100% is known as a full gloss:

Here, we get a silky-smooth finish with full reflection. Full gloss provides the highest level of depth and body to the selected paint colour. At this level, we have the maximum shine and wow factor for any project. The disadvantage is that it does not show any imperfection or fingerprints on the surface and will require regular cleaning. The advantage is that it can be buffed with very high grit polishes and sandpaper to remove light scratches and bring the paint back to life, looking like new again.

Durability and Longevity

2Pac paint finish provides long-lasting durability. The chemical reaction between the hydroxyl groups (part A) reacts with isocyanate resin (part B) to a cross-linked finish that highly resists scratches, scrapes, moisture, and consistent UV rays. This unmatched stability ensures surfaces remain fresh for years, even in high-traffic spaces or extreme environments.

Vibrant and Fade Resistant Colour

Two-pack paint’s two-component system ensures that your chosen colour remains lively and true, even after years of exposure to sunlight or extreme conditions. Whether you opt for bold, eye-catching hues or subtle tones, 2Pac paint secures solid, long-lasting colour integrity that upgrades your surface.
